Yūji Takahashi

Description

In the 1960s, Takahashi was a prominent avant-garde composer, influenced by Xenakis and Daniélou. He later rejected Western avant-garde for a music that reflects internationalism and the masses. Known as Takahashi II, he focused on performance and Eastern musical elements, maintaining an uncompromising and ascetic style. His music evolved but kept a continuous thread throughout his career.
