Vincent van Amsterdam is a Dutch accordionist known for his versatile and innovative performances. He has recorded seven solo and ensemble albums, including the critically acclaimed “Red, Dark and Blue” and his transcription of Bach’s Goldberg Variations. Vincent’s repertoire spans classical, jazz, and tango, and he frequently collaborates with various ensembles and orchestras. He has premiered works by contemporary composers such as Willem Jeths, Mathilde Wantenaar, and Wim Henderickx. Vincent also organizes the international Van Amsterdam Summer Course, sharing his expertise with students and fellow teachers. His first CD with Odradek Records featured the Goldberg Variations, followed by “Inventio,” which includes pieces by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, and François Couperin.
