Piano Trio Areal was founded in 2020 at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in Zurich. Three talented and promising young musicians, Daria, Jamila and Sandro, began playing together in the famous Toni Areal building, where the idea for the trio’s name was born. Although they come from diff erent parts of the world, these three musicians each have a mixed cultural background; all three possess the ability to play with a great musical expression that never fails to captivate audiences, and a strong desire to explore and share their personal stories through mainstream repertoire, as well as to discover trio repertoire that is not yet well known worldwide.
