Following a three-generations family tradition, David Guerchovitch started learning the violin with his parents and continued with Pavel Vernikov, Ana Chumachenco and Maxim Vengerov. He has won numerous prizes in competitions as a soloist (Andrea Postacchini in Italy, Klöster Schöntal in Germany), but also in chamber music (First Prize at the Gianni Bergamo Classic Award in Lugano, Third Prize at the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg, Special Prize Jeunesses Musicales at the Wigmore Hall Quartet Competition in London). Since 2019, he has been First Concertmaster at the Bern Symphony Orchestra, and as well as playing solo and chamber music concerts he collaborates regularly with the Houston Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Basel Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London, among many others.
